Editor's Introduction

Jai Jinendra,
NOW.  NOW is the time to start Bridging The Gap.  This was the over-riding message from the inspirational convention weekend, 17th-19th July, 2009.

The Bridging The Gap convention was like a spiritual journey that all delegates travelled together.  The sessions and workshops were structured in such a way as to logically introduce, share and discover Jain dharma and delve deeper into spirituality.  To best emulate this journey, I recommend you start this ‘Bridging The Gap: As It Happened’ commemorative issue from page 1 and work your way to page 32.

The energy during the convention was indescribable and for many the journey was a transformative turning-point in their lives.  This special commemorative issue of the magazine is a humble attempt to capture some of the synergy and spirit of the convention for posterity and for personal reflection.  For those who missed out, this issue ensures you didn’t miss out entirely!

Eagle-eyed readers will note that as a publication we have graduated from being a newsletter to a magazine.  We think this publication is now big enough, bright enough and bold enough to warrant the magazine title and hope that you agree.

Enjoy your journey through this issue, and the wider spiritual journey represented during the convention and within the pages of this magazine.

Jyoti Mehta.
