Jai Jinendra,
Welcome to a special issue focussing on Childhood and Spirituality. As our pre-Paryushan issue, you will find plenty of information about Paryushan, our festival of forgiveness. The first article of this issue is written by the Newsletter Team’s youngest member, Rakhee Haria. She writes about Aimutta Muni; a story that beautifully combines the themes of childhood, Paryushan and forgiveness. There is wisdom from Pujya Pramodaben Chitrabhanu and Pujya Minalben on how to introduce children and adults to spirituality. There are also features on some of the many organisations working in and around London to promote and teach Jain philosophy specifically to children and young adults. Especially for the children, we have given an extended double page to the Kids’ Korner in this issue, which is in many ways dedicated to them. Whether you are a parent, child, sibling or all three, you will find hopefully find that the themes of this issue will resonate with you and your relationships to those around you.
We hope you find this special issue as interesting and inspiring to read as we did to compile. On behalf of the Newsletter Team and Young Jains, Micchami Dukhadum.
Jyoti Mehta.
