1. Picnic in the Park

Date: Sunday 26th June 2009
Time: 2pm - 6pm
Venue: Cannons Park, Whitchurch Lane, Edgware, HA8 6JZ

Fun and games, food and play - we will have an afternoon of chilling-out and planned activities in true Young Jains style. This park has a new children's play area, table-tennis tables, and beautiful wooded areas to wadner into. A lovely opportunity to catch-up with the people you've met at the Bridging the Gap Convention, old Young Jains frields and make new friends. All you need to do is come along, bring a Jain pincic with you (with a little to share) and leave the rest to Young Jains. For more information, email paaras@youngjains.org.uk.

2. Bridging The Gap: Young Jains 7th International Convention - First Few Registrations Now In

 A generous anonymous donor will be adding £20 to all convention registrations received by the Young Jains AGM (Sunday 19th April 2009), which will go towards a more enriching experience at Young Jains events. So, get those registration forms in NOW!

Take a July weekend out to bridge the gap from where you are to where you want to be.  The Young Jains International Convention looks into the fundamentals of the timeless Jain tradition in a very real sense.

It explores FOUR essential areas that will help you get a better grasp on life:

1. Who you are at your core

2. Your goals in life

3. The barriers that hamper your efforts 4. The tools available to overcome those barriers.

These four essential sessions are interwoven into a dynamic summer's weekend of innovative workshops, new friendships, evening entertainment and wholesome meals.

You'll find this is an environment conducive to building lifelong support while you continue to explore and progress along your path towards a life filled with meaning and purpose.

Registration for this convention is now live.  The early bird registration rate is £35 for members/students and £45 for non-members until 31st May 2009

Regular: Sweet Harmony

Date: Monday 11th May 2009
Time: 8.15pm to 9.45pm (8.30pm start)
Venue: Canon's High School, Shaldon Road, Edgware

A monthly session of music and rhythm in a peaceful and tranquil environment. Come to Sweet Harmony where you can let your vocal chords experience the creative talents within you through music and song. If you have never sung, then this is a great way to learn, in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere.
