Thank you very much to all the delegates who attended the convention, and made it such a success!

"Realised how difficult it is to attain a human life and how I have to act now and not let this life be a waste. Also learnt how we can become less attached. Thank you to everyone who put the convention together. It was a good weekend and well done!"

"The energy and enthusiasm of all those presenting. The organisation and preparation could be clearly seen. The content was structured in a manner that could be followed and built upon. Making so many “Young Jains” friends in one weekend is so great. My first YJ event and I’m so impressed. I want to be present for forthcoming events. Most importantly, the motivation and drive to carry on the principles, ideas etc further by acting on the information I have captured. I feel enlightened by this experience. I believe that if I can feel so much bliss in one weekend, how much bliss would infinite bliss feel like. WOW!"

"Walking in with a handful of friends but leave with more than 2 handfuls. Learnt a lot – without realising how much – until now"

"The sessions that stayed with me the most were 2 (especially the lead into the slide show and true colours) and 4 (idea of incrementally increasing your faith instead of following blindly. The dedication and courage of the team to present content in a knowledgeable yet concise and accessible way was very visible."

"Shared ideas with like minded people. Explored my ideas with theory. Opened mind to new ideas. There are practical steps you can take. You have to take the first step."

"I have been involved in organising this weekend for a number of months. Yet, I had no vision of how it would turn out. The weekend has been fantastic. It is great to see so many other people, questioning their purpose, the purpose of this life and also expressing an interest in exploring Jain dharma. I have had conversations with many people that have yielded many deep insights. I feel that as we’ve progressed through the weekend, I have prepared myself to push my introspection to another level. It has also been great to see all the team come together throughout the weekend and all the volunteers and delegates who pitched in and helped without any questions, grumbling and with smiles."

"The convention has truly awakened an immense desire to find out more and more about the achievement of the state of eternal happiness – MOKSHA. I look forward to the journey, as my questions get answered (hopefully!) – a true way of life (as I perceive it to be at this point in my journey). Particular moments include the presentation on Mohaniya Karma, the presentation on faith (Sat Dev, Sat Dharma, Sat Guru), the energy of all the delegates and presenters, the willingness of everyone to take an active interest."

"Fantastic organisation. Amazing to see how much knowledge about Jainism young people have. There is so much talent in our community. I learnt a lot and realised that there is so much more to learn and would like to learn more and come to future YJ events."

"Session II delivery very powerful, use of song and interactive insights. Cool, concise summary. Touched emotionally. Very inspiring. The amount of work gone into the presentations – phenomenal. Could take forward to different areas and benefit thousands of people."

"The thought, energy and imagination expended by the organising team in putting a thought provoking and inspirational content together. The safe environment created for participation by the delegates. The message that this human birth is precious and we need to take the opportunity now to invest faith in Jain dharma."

"Being able to identify my end goal and the route there much clearer. Also knowing the obstacles that I’ll be faced with en route to the end goal and how I can overcome those obstacles"

"This was a great inspirational weekend for me. I have learned a lot and am definitely going to use it. The best was how to let go of our attachments in a manner that we slowly reduce them, as it would be difficult to get rid of them completely in one go. Also am going to tackle my kashays, thus indirectly reducing raag and dwesh. Thank you very much to the whole team for a very informative / inspirational weekend. As a matter of fact, all the sessions were very unique in their own way, each relating to the next one. The songs were very touching and brought back memories of TTM1"

"So what touched me the most? I was touched by the preparation that the presenting team had made. I am aware that a lot of them were new faces but they had faithfully decided that they were going to share the subject matter with us. I was touched by how well they had prepared and presented without any hitches. The flow of the subject matter was brilliant as one session followed and built up upon the previous one. The Sunday afternoon session was a tricky one in terms of the timing but the subject matter was important and in the end the whole thing pulled through. I was touched by the team. If they can do it (i.e. share the subject so effortlessly), then what am I doing? It has been an awakening for me. "

"Learning so many new things about Jainism that I certainly didn’t know before. Also having the dancing, clapping (mango dance) to keep us awake and re-energised. I have been more alert and awake. Finally, I really enjoyed the interactive activities. Also I like the background music and the words in that song that clearly referenced to the session’s messages."

"Seeing that Young Jains are actually committed to Jain dharma with good knowledge and passion. It’s quite inspiring for me to see what I can possibly be like and gain with more reading and learning of Jainism. It was also good to see like minds gather forces and share their views on the conflicts of life and thinking of ways to face them through the Jain way. I’ve also learned more general knowledge and facts of the Jain principles"

"Really inspiring presentations. The team was very sociable and everyone in general was very open and approachable. A very friendly atmosphere, haven’t felt this comfortable at any event to this extent. Found a real source of motivation. Was amazed at how easily I was able to work with everyone on the team."

"The whole Convention was planned in so much detail and the entire team managed to cater for all ages. The sessions were inspiring and even though I wasn’t part of the actual team, I felt such a big part of it. Although I’ve seen some of the content before, hearing it again only reinforced the messages in a fresh and unique way. "
